A Fountain Hills jewelry store owner is attempting to break a 3-year-old world record by organizing the largest ever wedding vow renewal ceremony.
"Love in the Hills" is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 14, Valentine's Day, at Fountain Hills Park.
The event is being put on by Stephenie Bjorkman, owner of Sami Fine Jewelry store.
"It's completely free. Anyone can come. All we ask is that you bring a copy of marriage certificate and photo ID to participate. But, it's romantic, it's fun, it's crazy, it's chaotic, it's gonna be a blast," said Bjorkman.
If you are looking for an idea to impress your spouse on Valentine's Day, this might be a good way to score some points. Additionally, the event is free for everyone who participates.
Couples will also receive freebies from Sami Fine Jewelry and other sponsors.
More about the event can be found HERE.
The current world record for number of couples participating in a group wedding vow renewal stands at 1,087. That record was set at Miami University of Ohio in June 2009.
The Ripley's "Believe It or Not!" museum in St. Augustine, FL, attempted to break that record Sunday, however, only about 500 couples turned out.
