SCRANTON ? It?s a time old tradition here in Scranton.
Thousands of folks pack the streets of the Electric City to enjoy the 20th Greater Scranton Jaycees Santa Parade.
Kids donned their holiday attire and waited patiently for their favorite float to go by.
This year there was Madeline, Elmo, and some cheerleaders in the sky.
Kids who sat by and watched said they loved it all.
?The floats and how they had that candy train house,? said Julian Hubbard.
?When the girls were dancing hip hop!? said Derrick Hernandez.
Others said they loved the animals.
Kids came dressed in there Christmas attire.? One little guy, dressed as Rudolph the red nose reindeer, showed he was ready for the holiday season.
Others said they loved the donkeys walking through.
?We love it! (My boy) is excited and we?re having a very good time!? said a parade goer.
This is the 20th Santa parade, some folks who have been coming here since the 1990?s said this year is a little bit different.
?There?s a lot more people here this year, it?s great,? said an on-looker.
And for many, the music helps them get into the holiday spirit, along with seeing the big guy in the red suit and Mrs. Claus!
Parents said the parade helps kick off the Christmas season with a bang.
?It?s great the kids love it, and it?s a lot of fun for everybody,? said John Zelenski, of Scranton.
